I see a lot of rock climbers with hand injuries in my practice. This isn’t very surprising since these are the most common injuries in the sport. What does concern me is that many climbers have old hand injuries that have been neglected or unrecognized. The most obvious signs are finger deformity, a history of persistent swelling, and limited range of motion.
